Tether Support

Tether is a personal-growth companion that holds your intentions and gets to know you through ongoing conversation.

Get in touch

Email support@livetethered.com with any question, problem, or request. A real person reads every message, and we typically reply within two business days.

If you're reporting something going wrong in the app, it helps to include what you were doing when it happened and roughly when.

Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Delete account in the app and confirm. This erases your conversations, intentions, and reflections immediately and permanently. It can't be undone, and we can't recover a deleted account afterwards. If you can't get into the app, email us and we'll delete it for you.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're cancelled through Apple rather than in Tether: open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Tether. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends.

Deleting your Tether account doesn't cancel your subscription. Apple holds the subscription, so cancel it there as well.

How does account recovery by email work?

Tether doesn't use passwords. Your account lives on your device, which is why adding an email address is worth doing: it's the only way to get your history back if you lose your phone, replace it, or delete the app.

Add one in Settings → Account, then tap the link in the email we send to confirm it. Later, on a new device, choose "Returning? Sign back in." and we'll email you a sign-in link that restores your account. The link is single-use and expires shortly after it's sent. We use your email only for sign-in links and account matters, never for advertising.

I lost my phone and never added an email. Can you recover my account?

Unfortunately not. Accounts are anonymous by design and tied to the device, so without a recovery email there's nothing that connects you to your history. Adding an email now protects everything from this point on.

Is Tether therapy?

No. Tether isn't therapy or medical care, and it isn't a substitute for either. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.
